Green Jacket 12 Year Premium Whisky 450 mL 36.5 Percent ABV

Green Jacket was launched by William Grant & Sons Korea Ltd., a Korean subsidiary of the world-renowned Scotch whisky maker. Green Jacket is the first whisky to be produced by an Asian subsidiary in the Scotch whisky maker’s 130-year history. William Grant & Sons, founded in Scotland, is famous for Glenfiddich and Balvenie single malt whiskies. The name Green Jacket is derived from the green jacket awarded to the champion of the Masters Golf Tournament to imply that it is the perfect celebratory drink for people who have reached the pinnacle of success, according to the company. Green Jacket whiskies are distilled and matured in Canada.

Monkey Shoulder Scotch is a superb blended malt whisky from William Grant, made with single malts from three famous Speyside distilleries. The result is a smooth, creamy, supple and very malty Scotch which works superbly well neat, over ice, or in whisky cocktails (where it really excels). TASTING NOTES Nose: An elegant, stylish nose of marmalade, Crema Catalana (apologies, but it really is there), cocoa and malt. Plenty of vanilla and a sprinkling of winter spice (nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon) alongside a mouth-watering hint of aniseed. Palate: Very malty, creamy delivery with a suggestion of berry fruit. Juicy toasted barley, cloves and butterscotch. Manuka honey, hot-buttered-toast and dried apricot develop. Finish: Medium length, spicy oak and a hint of peppermint on the tail. Overall: According to the Monkey Shoulder website: “Some say it tastes just like riding bareback on the wild moors of Scotland with a flame haired maiden on Christmas morning. Others agree it tastes like 007 wearing a tuxedo wetsuit.” This is whisky to be enjoyed. (by The Chaps at Master of Malt) masterofmalt.com
